Open Question: How does i-bank manage to predict share prices?

Thu, 20 Dec 2007 02:30:19 GMT
Hi,

I often read in news i-bank analysts predict certain share prices will raise up to, for example, $15.15 in 3 month...

Just wondering, how do they manage to calculate the share price with the accuracy of 2 digits after the decimal point ? Because all they have in hand is some Macro economic reports and industrial/company research reports. All of these can hardly lead you to a share price of 2 decimal point accuracy. If their prediction is $15, I may believe it. But 15.15, r u kidding me?
